Why do I need a CRB Disclosure?

It is mandatory for all those who work directly with or whom have access to sensitive data belonging to children and vulnerable adults (Children / Unemployed / Elderly).

Such as: Carers - Administrators - Retail Staff - Cashiers - nurses - doctors - etc...

• How can I Apply for a CRB disclosure?

You need to visit us and complete a CRB Disclosure application form.We will then ask you to complete a copy before you can complete the original form.

• Documents required:

In order to complete your application we request that you bring along:

1. Some documents*
2. Details of all the addresses where you have lived in for the last 5 years preceeding your application ( From: month/year To:month/year - e.g. From: 02/2003 To: 12/2004 )

Example of documents (combination) needed: original proof of I.D doc.+ Proof of address + National Insurance Number card

 When shall I expect to receive my Disclosure?

After you complete your application with us our contersignatory will verify your documents and the information entered on the form. The application will later be sent to the CRB and processed through 5 stages. Please note that this can take a while to be processed ( 8 weeks on average). The CRB Disclosure original document will be sent to the address you have supplied in the front of your application. Please contact us to notify us if you move home before receiving your application so that we may inform the CRB and avoid it being lost. They will not issue copies. If lost you will need to re-apply.  

How to track the progress of your CRB application:

You need two pieces of information:

• Your CRB Application Reference Number (consult the umbrella body where you have done your application if you need this number)
• Your date of birth
