Fire Safety (in the Care Home)
Training your staff in the correct procedures for fire drills and evacuations is vital to the safety of your care home and residents. This course explains evacuation procedures, the purpose of having a fire plan, and the importance of fire drills. Subjects covered include the means of escape, places of safety, escape routes and fire doors, activating the fire alarm, alerting the fire brigade and making a 999 call, the evacuation assembly point, the main fire panel, location of residents and methods of moving residents.
