ISA - Adult First Check
Why do I need to request an ISA Adult First?
An ISA (Independant Safeguarding Authority) Adult First is an online check made after your CRB disclosure application is sent out to the CRB. This online check is useful to provide feedback to a prospective employer on your ability to start working with vulnerable adults before the arrival of your full CRB Disclosure (which can take an average of 8 weeks).
Please note that An ISA Adult First:
- Is not an option to a CRB disclosure application. It is however a fast on-line check on the Vulnerable Adults Barred list which can only be done after the CRB aplication is received by the CRB.
- Can only be used for job applications related to adults (e.g.Adult Care) ; it cannot be used for those who aim to work with children (e.g. nursery workers)
Pre-requisite:
-CRB application.
Benefits:
- An ISA Adult First Check is widely accepted by employers/placement places as temporary evidence document of eligibility to work ( you must still supply a copy of your full CRB disclosure, when this arrives, to your employer)
