Apprenticeships are 4 tiered qualifications:

- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults)
- Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Health and Social Care
- Level 1 Key Skills: Communication
- Level 1 Key Skills: Application of Number

Learners may be exempt from completing any qualification above if they present relevant equivalent qualifications' certificates, of prior achievements.
 

Level 2 Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care

 

Apprenticeships are a structured form of vocational training.  If you want to learn your living chose an apprenticeship.

Lifecare currently provides apprenticeships in Health and Social care and in Customer Services

How does the training work?

When you register into a level 2 Apprenticeship program in Health and Social Care you are registering into a combination of skills and achievements. There are four components that make up the apprenticeship program:

Qualifications achieved upon completion
Assessment method
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Work-based (Practical Part)
BTEC Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Classroom-based (Theory Part)
Level 1 Communication (Literacy)
Classroom-based
Level 1 Application of Numbers (Numeracy)
Classroom-based

Pre-requisites: You will be working (or be willing to work) a minimum of 16.5 hours a week and attend classes here at Lifecare 1 day a week, for the duration of the course. You will also need to apply/have applied for a CRB Disclosure (sector requirement).

Course duration: 6 months to 1 year.

Apprenticeships are currently being funded for learners between the ages of 16-24. Please contact us for more information and to assess if you are eligible for funding.
